About Spearos Kitchen
Spearos Kitchen is an ocean to table education platform focused on helping the recreational spearfishing and fishing communities responsibly utilize their catch through recipes, species guides, fillet tutorials, and educational content.
Recipe Submission Terms
- While Spearos Kitchen would love to approve all recipe submissions, we may not be able to do so. Reasons for exclusion may include missing information, duplicate recipes, or copyright infringement. We may contact you via email for more information, as needed.
- By submitting material for publication, you understand that there is no current or future compensation for submitting a recipe to Spearos Kitchen. Spearos Kitchen DOES, however, allow contributors to include external links to pages/products they recommend which in turn may earn them a commission.
- By submitting material for publication, you grant Spearos Kitchen the right to publish your name, image and YouTube video (if applicable), on the recipe card, recipe post and credit you as the author (spearo) of the recipe. You also grant Spearos Kitchen the right to use your name and image on other sections of SpearosKitchen.com, to better help readers find your recipes.
- By submitting material for publication, you agree that all recipes and details within the recipe must be your own, original creation. The instructions and details of the recipe cannot be copied from any print or online source. Here is what copyright.gov has to say: “A mere listing of ingredients is not protected under copyright law. However, where a recipe or formula is accompanied by substantial literary expression in the form of an explanation or directions, or when there is a collection of recipes as in a cookbook, there may be a basis for copyright protection.” By submitting a recipe, you are agreeing that the recipe instructions and details are your own and were created by you. - By submitting material for publication, you grant Spearos Kitchen’s exclusive rights and unrestricted use of the material. We reserve the right to reproduce, republish, and distribute the material in any medium and in any manner. This includes using images in online publications, newsletters, and social media posts. Spearos Kitchen, however, will NOT sell your recipe in the form of a cookbook or e-book without your consent. The purpose of SpearosKitchen.com is intended to be a fun, educational community where spearos from around the globe can come learn and share ideas.
- If, for some reason you no longer wish your recipe, name or image to be featured on Spearos Kitchen, please email zach@spearoskitchen.com.
Photo Submission Terms
- You are the original creator and owner of the photograph.
- The photograph is not copyrighted.
- You give Spearos Kitchen the exclusive right to use your photo in any way on our website, newsletter, or social media.
- You understand that there is no compensation from Spearos Kitchen for submitting a photo.
- You have the option to be credited on our credits page in which you can post links to your business or social media profiles.
- If, for some reason you no longer want your photo to be on our website, please email zach@spearoskitchen.com.
